AVEAC stormed to a new national record as our under 13 boys won at the World Indoor Tour Final at the Utilia Arena in Birmingham on Saturday 25 February.
The team of Joe Moss, Riley Jones, Ryan Ghai, Corey Fisher and Charlie Davies (reserve) beat teams from Rugby & Northampton in a time of 1:51.19 for their 4x200m Club:Connect Relay. The team have qualified for an invitation to the event thanks to their times at the Mini League fixtures at Moorways last summer. However, they had not run a 4x200m before and, despite trailing going into the final leg, anchor Corey Fisher overtook his rival on the home straight to clinch victory.
