Second Place Finish for AVEAC at Lower YDL Match 2

With the summer sun beating down, the hot weather spurred on our AVEAC athletes to continue with their impressive form and determination at the second YDL match held at Moorways on Sunday 19th May. Overall, 25 AVEAC athletes competed finishing in 2nd place, only 19 points behind Burton AC. The athletes impressed the team managers by being willing to try new events so that as a team, we could fill the majority of the events on offer at the match; this positive attitude was fantastic to see and a special well done to all athletes who stepped out of their usual events into other ones for the team on the day – congratulations! There were some Lower YDL debut competitors also – well done to Charlotte (U15) and Ashton (U15).
