This is a short report, but a very important one as it displays the endeavour and want to compete for one of our athletes.
On Saturday 09 November, at West Glebe Park in Corby, AVEAC were entered into the North Midlands Cross Country fixture. This being a good hour from Rutland Sports Park, we anticipated low numbers. However, one athlete travelled there to compete… and did really well!
Florence Sibley from our under 11s ran in a big field of 35 athletes and achieved a very respectful 12th place, completing the course in 9.58. It is great to see the yellow of AVEAC represented and we’d be really happy to see even more at Shipley Park, Heanor on Saturday 7th.
